Aeroflot increses luggage allowance
In addition to Russian airline Aeroflot increasing cabin luggage allowance to 10 kilograms per traveller, passengers can additionally take (among other things) baby food and a baby travelling cradle, a travelling rug, and also a bag with purchases from the duty-free shop.

Madonna misuses carseats
Pop goddess Madonna has been criticised for not properly restraining her youngest son David during a car trip in Los Angeles.
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie loaded their three children into their SUV after March 2 services at the Kabbalah Center in Los Angeles, but baby David was not properly restrained, US Weekly reported.
"There was no car seat. (Madonna) sat in the middle row, and they left with David on her lap," a witness told Us Weekly.
Last year, troubled singer Britney Spears was photographed driving with her infant son Jayden on her lap.

Exotic Family Vacations
Forget Disneyland being the pinnacle of family holidays (well, for domestic travel in the US), vacations are now grown-up and going global.
Families and extended families now rival couples as the fastest-growing demographic in travel, according to the United States Tour Operators Association.
Families are off on exotic, cultural vacations, taking along children as young as 5 and teenagers.
These holidays don't come cheap though. Parents, who often work long hours and feel they miss out on valuable relationship-building time with their kids, are spendings thousands, often over $10,000, on a dream trip to exotic places.
Vanessa Chamberlain, speaking to The Arizona Republic on these exotic family vacations and who teaches a course in cultural wellness at Scottsdale Community College, says traveling as a family can be a rewarding experience.
Although teens may protest, once they're on their way, "they really enjoy it," she said.
But she warned that a big, splashy vacation is no substitute for involved parenting year-round."It's important to do the day-to-day rituals," she said. "Kids need to know Mom and Dad are as available for a game of backyard catch as they are to sail to Europe."

A survey of American travel agents has revealed that the UK's Heathrow Airport is seen as the best in the world in terms of family-friendliness.
Schipol Airport in Amsterdam, Frankfurt Airport, UK's Gatwick and Singapore Changi made up the rest of the top five.
In the US, the best hub for those with young children was believed to be Orlando International Airport.
The poll was conducted by the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA).
Editor's note: I have used Heathrow many, many times and am really surprised it was voted the best. In my experience UK facilities aren't generally that family-friendly!

European cruises gaining popularity with families
Cruises around Europe are gaining popularity as a holiday choice for young families, according travel agents.
More families are trying cruises in Europe, as couples find the giant ships with specialized youth programs make it relatively easy to travel with children, agents say.
According to an article in Miamiherald.com it is Europe rather than the Caribbean that is the place of choice for unveiling new cruise ships.
Confirming Europe's popularity as a cruising destination, the family-oriented Disney Magic will sail out of Barcelona this summer, the first time Disney Cruise Line has deployed a ship to Europe.

Baby eqiupment hire Canada
GogoBaby founder Michelle Thoms came up with the idea for her baby equipment hire business when she and her husband were living in Manhattan.
"We had to travel back and forth to Toronto to see our folks," says Thoms. "We couldn't bring everything we wanted, so my mom had to borrow stuff for our visits, but it wasn't always what I wanted."
GogoBaby rents everything from high-end strollers, cribs and highchairs, to car seats, toys and baby monitors. A Bugaboo stroller costs $100 for a week.
The company's motto is, "Bring the baby, not the stuff."

Liquid restrictions on flights out of South Korea
Passengers on international flights out of South Korea now face restrictions on the amount and type of liquids they can carry aboard planes, according to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
Baby food and medicine are exempt from the new restrictions as long as the passenger reports having them in advance.

Bugaboo Denim Collection 007
In April, Bugaboo will launch the first of its special Denim Collection.
The first style will be dark denim, which is intended to accentuate the design of the Bugaboo - tough, no-nonsense and striking.
I have a Bugaboo Chameleon - dark grey base with orange and red fleece (I interchange depending on my mood, the season and how dirty they get!). I will be tempted to het this material!
